Interception is a Youko ending and one of 25 possible fourth episodes in Shiny Days.
Plots[]
The plot is identical to Knockout Kick up to the point when Sekai asks Makoto about what he thinks Setsuna may comment on him.
Routemap
Makoto, after some thinking, realizes that Setsuna has never said anything bad on him, and he cannot even imagine Setsuna commenting anything bad on him. Then Sekai reveals to him that Setsuna says nothing bad on him. Sekai then asks Makoto to go to Sakakino Hotel himself and there will be a person waiting for him. Being confused, Makoto leaves Sekai's home.
Sekai then calls Setsuna that she has questioned the feelings of Makoto on Setsuna, and Makoto feels the same way on Setsuna as Setsuna feels on him. She then congratulates Setsuna and suggests Setsuna not to guess what Makoto thinks but directly expresses her feelings on him. Setsuna gratefully accepts the advice and decide to trust Makoto and wait at Sakakino Hotel.
However, Makoto bump into Youko under the Saionjis' apartment. He wonders if Youko is the person waiting for him at Sakakino Hotel. Though a little confused, Youko soon admits and thinks Makoto wishes to have sex with her in a hotel, as they have only had sex in the office in Radish since then. Then Youko and Makoto go to Sakakino Hills hotel to have sex.
Shun, Mai and Setsuna are waiting for Makoto until night, however Makoto doesn't appear. Mai says that there may be some accidents and they shall start to search for Makoto themselves, while Shun says they shall wait. Setsuna also says she trusts Makoto and wishes to wait. Mai and Shun then begin discussing which of them Setsuna is more similar to, until being shocked by seeing Makoto hugging with Youko at the stairs beside.
The game ends when Setsuna turns her face to Makoto and Youko.
Routes[]
To get Interception, the following criteria shall be met.
- Makoto shall seduce Youko before he starts dating with Setsuna, otherwise you'll get Setsuna Disappears instead.
- By the time Setsuna leaves for Paris, the bar shall be low enough, otherwise you'll get Together instead.
- Makoto must answer "yes" when questioned by Mai about whether he is Sekai's boyfriend or not, otherwise you'll get either Like Mother, Like Daughter or Succumbing to Pleasure instead.
- If Makoto pretends Sekai being his girlfriend during his beach conversation with Setsuna in Episode 2, he'll not be able to answer "yes" to Mai's question and the question is just skipped.
- Makoto must not answer "She thinks I'm not good at sex." when being questioned by Sekai about what Setsuna may comment on him. Otherwise the ending will be Knockout Kick.
- Finally, the bar shall be low enough by the time Sekai suggests Makoto to leave. Otherwise you'll get With My Family instead.
