I Love You and Forever are 2 endings with the exact same route and a Sekai ending and bad ending respectively in School Days. It has only 1 route with slight variations up to it. In this route, Makoto goes out with Sekai, only to sleep with Kotonoha during the festival. From then on, the actions don't matter and the bar decides which ending the player gets right before the ending.
In this ending, Makoto realizes he likes Sekai more than Kotonoha and during the process of breaking up with Kotonoha is caught by her during foreplay with Sekai. Kotonoha is heartbroken yet still patiently waits for Makoto who comes and they have sex. Kotonoha thinks she has to keep sleeping with Makoto constantly to satisfy him, but Makoto inevitably goes back to Sekai.
In the LxH version of the game, the ending Forever is extended and the extension is titled Blue Smile (青い微笑).

Makoto and Sekai have just finished having sex with numerous condom wrappers, tissues and other items to indicate they've had sex an incredible number of times. They talk about recent events and how they had to tell Kotonoha about them because Makoto's in love with Sekai. At school the festival has started and the trio have finished building the break room. They then bully Kotonoha then asks her to prove she's going out with Makoto. Kotonoha then meets Makoto and asks him to come with her. Makoto's about to say no but she then says if he's busy he can come later. Makoto then says he's going to see the festival with Sekai. Kotonoha then begs for him to come and that she'll be waiting no matter what. She then bumps into Taisuke while carrying some chairs and he helps her carry them. Taisuke asks Kotonoha to see the festival but is declined by Kotonoha. At class 3 many people are absent and Nanami also ditches them to go out with her boyfriend. Setsuna then tells Sekai and Makoto to go take a break and then discreetly mentions to Sekai that they can take their time.
Kotonoha being bullied
Makoto and Sekai go and Sekai asks him to go somewhere when they run into Otome and she asks Makoto if he's free. Makoto says no and they go up to the roof. Sekai says Otome's in love with him to it he denies (wrongly). They then skip their shift and have sex multiple times until the festival almost ends. Sekai then goes back and asks Makoto to take it easy and invites him to the bonfire. Makoto waits a bit before going back to avoid helping to clean up. Sekai then overhear a few girls (probably Roka Kitsuregawa, Ruka Imagawa, Natsuki Hosokawa and Mugi Hatakeyama offscreen) talking about Kotonoha. Kotonoha told everyone she's going out with Makoto and is now being bullied because
Kotonoha invites Makoto to the break room
everyone thinks she was lying. Makoto comes to Sekai in the class and Sekai expresses regret at what she's done to Kotonoha and they can't do this anymore and tells him to go back to Kotonoha. Makoto angrily says fine and accuses Sekai of not caring about him and she cares more about Kotonoha's feelings than his.
Makoto goes to Kotonoha and she's delighted to see him and tells him about how she was bullied and even though her bullies are gone she doesn't care as long as they know they're a couple. She asks if he saw the festival with Sekai and when he says yes she says people might think Sekai's his girlfriend but not him. She admits she doesn't have any experience with boys it was her fault for not wanting to do it it Makoto and forgives him for his infidelity and desperate to solidify their relationship invites him to the break room and they have sex.
Episode 4 - Waiting In Vain (2nd Version)[]
The above version is reached when Makoto sleeps with Sekai on the roof and then goes to Sekai only to be told by her to go to Kotonoha. This version is only slightly different in the way Sekai never tells Makoto to go, rather he stumbles into Kotonoha thus he knowingly cheats on Sekai.
Makoto and Sekai skip their shift and have sex multiple times until the festival almost ends. Sekai goes back and asks Makoto to take it wasy and invites him to the bonfire. Makoto thinks he should go early and help clean up before the bonfire starts and overhears the Trio talking about how they bullied Kotonoha after she told them Makoto was coming. He feels guilty and then goes to Kotonoha and she's delighted to see him and tells him about how she was bullied and even though her bullies are gone she doesn't care as long as they know they're a couple. She asks if he saw the festival with Sekai and when he says yes she says people might think Sekai's his girlfriend but not him. She admits she doesn't have any experience with boys it was her fault for not wanting to do it it Makoto and forgives him for his infidelity and desperate to solidify their relationship invites him to the break room and they have sex.
Episode 5 always starts with the assumption Makoto's cheated on Sekai. Since in this version, though Sekai wishes Makoto to apologize to Kotonoha, she definitely don't want Makoto to have sex with her.
Episode 4 - Waiting In Vain (3rd Version)[]
This version is reached rather differently.
Makoto watching Kotonoha being bullied, curiously the 2nd guy from the right is wearing Makoto's clothes.
Makoto and Sekai goes back to help their classmates and while Sekai is working Makoto goes out of the class and overhears a few girls (probably Roka Kitsuregawa, Ruka Imagawa, Natsuki Hosokawa and Mugi Hatakeyama offscreen) talking about Kotonoha and sees her getting bullied by Otome and her friends. Makoto stays still keeping silence, Kotonoha detects him and start saying that Makoto is here for her and she was and is still Makoto's girlfriend. Otome repeatedly asks Makoto to confirm but Makoto just keep silence and acquiesce everything Kotonoha says.
Kotonoha in tears begs for her to keep being his girlfriend. Otome and her friends retreat and help Makoto and Kotonoha to go into the breakroom and have sex.
Episode 4 - Waiting In Vain (4th Version)[]
Otome repeatedly asks Makoto to confirm and Makoto claims he is here for Kotonoha, then instead of expressing regret, he says "I love Sekai"
Kotonoha in tears, saying that he is just seduced by Sekai and now she is still his girlfriend and she is willing to offer sex too. Makoto tries to deny but eventually accept her invitation.
Otome and her friends retreat and help Makoto and Kotonoha to go into the breakroom and have sex.
Episode 5 - The Video Tape[]

Regardless of how it happened the next episode always plays in the same manner but there might be slight dialogue changes, nothing that will affect the route.
Kotonoha showing first signs of instability
4 girls have recorded what happened in the break room, confirmed to be Roka Kitsuregawa, Ruka Imagawa, Natsuki Hosokawa and Mugi Hatakeyama from Cross Days making a cameo. The decide to show it to all the girls who helped with constructing the break room, those who were caught on tape and a couple others. The next day Makoto oversleeps and remembers his argument with Sekai over missing the bonfire. He runs into Kotonoha and she wants to have sex with him again. At school Taisuke asks Makoto if he's coming to the after-party and Makoto may say he will come or not. If he comes the below paragraph happens. Setsuna and Taisuke inform Makoto that the class party is in the classroom itself even
though they had tons of customers because they made only 20 yen per cake and to make it worse they themselves ate some cake. But they can afford some snacks and best of all, 40% alcohol for some serious underage drinking. Makoto doesn't drink but Setsuna gets drunk and latches onto him "to make sure he doesn't do anything naughty". Meanwhile the whole class is drunk and Makoto starts to take pictures with Setsuna's camera. Setsuna, with her inhibitions lowered asks if Makoto can feel her breasts then asks him if he loves Sekai. Makoto says he hates her then Setsuna says then he should go out with Se-chan and starts to call him Mako-chan. Makoto asks Setsuna to let go of his arm but then Setsuna asks him to close his eyes, stick his lips out then count to 10. Setsuna then kisses him and Hikari gets a picture. He gets tortured by drunk teenagers a bit more before being let go. On the train ride home Makoto goes with Kotonoha and she starts to give Makoto a handjob and he cums into her handkerchief. Kotonoha starts to lick it and Makoto's shocked at what she's doing. The next day they take the train to school again and Kotonoha starts to do the same thing again but they come to school before Makoto cums. Makoto during lunch tries to immediately have sex with Sekai, being too turned on by what happened during the morning. Sekai asks Makoto to apologize for

During class she denies him when he asks to come to her house and to get away from him she goes to the basketball club's party. They're surprised when the other party goers start to show a video and Otome explains it's something Chie Ashikaga and the others did. Nanami's suspicious because she doesn't like them. Chie expresses her gratttiude to the ones who operated the break rooms without the teachers finding out and declares they recorded everything happened in there. First Nanami is shown having sex with Kyouichi Kasannoin and she breaks down in tears and then they're shown Makoto having sex with Kotonoha and Sekai and Otome are both horrified at what they're seeing. Meanwhile Makoto's having sex with Kotonoha at his home.
Final Episode - I Love You/Forever[]
Makoto and Kotonoha wake up together and when Kotonoha discusses breakfast, Makoto decides to do it again. At school, Makoto asks to eat with Sekai, but she says she has something to ask him and they go up to the roof. Sekai asks what he was doing during the bonfire and Makoto admits he was with Kotonoha. She asks why, but Makoto is unable to answer. Sekai says it initially made her happy that he chose her instead of Kotonoha, but now that she found out about Kotonoha, she asks if she was just a substitute for Kotonoha and then berates herself for thinking Makoto was her boyfriend and then runs away. She runs into Kotonoha and asks when did she start stealing Makoto away from her. Kotonoha then accuses her as the one who stole Makoto and tells her that since she's now capable of satisfying Makoto, Sekai should stay away from her.
The next day, Setsuna drags Makoto to the roof to talk and when Setsuna asks about Kotonoha, Makoto admits everything is his own fault and Setsuna asks him to just not make Sekai cry. During the evening, Kotonoha comes to Makoto's again; he gives in to temptation and sleeps with her again. Later, Kotonoha asks Makoto to have lunch with her and then have his way with her again. The next day, during the train ride to school Hikari sees them and gets suspicious. During lunchtime, Makoto tries to avoid Kotonoha and then runs into Otome but gets found by Kotonoha. Otome asks if he's going out with Kotonoha to which Makoto tries to answer no, however Kotonoha answers yes. Makoto then says he's in love with Sekai and Otome accuses Kotonoha of being the reason why Sekai isn't at school anymore. Makoto then breaks up with her and says even if he can't make up with Sekai, he won't choose Kotonoha anymore. Makoto thanks Otome and then decides to go to Sekai.
- There is a bug here that this always take the assumption that Otome doesn't think Kotonoha being Matoko's girlfriend. However, if the player chooses version 3 to achieve ”waiting in the vain", Otome will accept the relationship between Makoto and Kotonoha and shouldn't be presenting this way.
I Love You[]
I Love You
Makoto gets off the train and is surprised to see Sekai, her having been informed by Setsuna Makoto's coming. Makoto says he's sorry, that he gets swayed too easily, but he loves her and won't be tempted by Kotonoha anymore.
If the player met the conditions for I Love You, the game ends here.
Forever[]
Makoto and Sekai make up and they go to Makoto's, but to their surprise, they find Kotonoha there, Makoto's mother having let her in. Makoto says Sekai forgave her, despite him being weak and quick to waver and that he loves Sekai. Kotonoha says she just can't give up, since she can't live without Makoto and will do anything for him no matter what. She then asks if it's not enough, Makoto replies it's not and Kotonoha's eyes drain of color. Sekai says she's sorry, but she loves Makoto and that's why she won't hesitate anymore. Kotonoha asks her a final question, that knowing she can't go on living without Makoto will she still take him away from her. Sekai says yes and Kotonoha gets a smile on her face. She then says they won't be happy together because she won't let him go, Forever. The couple gets out of the house and Sekai expresses her concerns, but Makoto says he's sure Kotonoha will understand. They suddenly hear a cracking sound, and turn around to see Kotonoha's phone cracked. They look up to Kotonoha jumping off Makoto's balcony, screaming. She falls beside the house door and dies on the spot.
- It can be inferred that the condition for "Forever" does not decide whether Kotonoha performs suicide or not, and instead decides whether Kotonoha has access to Makoto's house to perform her suicide in this manner.
Years later, Makoto becomes a nurse and is at the gravestone of Kotonoha's. Makoto and Sekai broke up as soon as Kotonoha's suicide happened. Whenever they see each other, it reminds them of Kotonoha's final moments. Despite having been so close, they now only talk to each other on the anniversary of Kotonoha's death. The game ends in Makoto seeing a card on the gravestone and reveals it being Sekai's.
Blue Smile （青い微笑, LxH Extension）[]
The below scenario is not possible in neither the original nor the HQ release of the game.
In the LxH version, when Makoto is visiting Kotonoha's grave, Sekai comes as well. The two haven't met since the incident, and they ask each other about their recent lives. Makoto answers that he's working as a nurse, while Sekai says that she got married, suffered a misscarriage and is soon to be divorced. At the same time, Makoto hides his ring finger to hide the fact that he's engaged. Sekai is holding a bucket of water and then starts to leave; Makoto asks if she's not going to dump the water but Sekai says the tomb is smiling, albeit unpleasently. Sekai then says goodbye and that the weather forecast said it would rain but it's fine, Makoto looks up to find there's no rain and the game ends. This may imply that Sekai has gone slightly mad after witnessing Kotonoha's death, or that things may not be as bad as expected.
